The SheDD Aquarium

January 10th was Tyler's 3rd birthday and it just so happened to be a "free" day at the aquarium.  So, we spent his birthday here. He was super excited and we have never been here before.

We saw some really cool fish like things

This is a spider crab

This big tank was Tyler's favorite. It was round so you could see it from all sides and when we got there, they were feeding the fish and there was a diver in the tank. so cool and Tyler was mesmorized.

The NEXT Tommy Lee?

Once Tyler got this new bucket for his birthday, he decided he's a drumer!  He now got some chopsticks from Grandma so now he has "real" drumsticks!  Good boy using that imagination!  Today he used lids from pots for cymbals. LOL I hope Angelos has ear plugs for today while I am at work!

Shots, 75%, 3 years and NO PACI!

Yesterday was Tyler's Three Year well check with Doctor Tony! He is 35.4 lbs and 3'2" tall.  In the 75 percentile for both height and weight. The Doc was very impressed with his vocabulary and his small motor skills.

I almost laughed at some of the developmental questions they asked.  Does he use 3 word sentences? Uh - yes since he was about 2 years old. LOL  Does he ride a tricycle? Uh - yes he got a big bike for xmas!  Can he kick a ball? Uh - yes, we took a 2 year old soccer class. LOL

We did see that his tubes in his ears are still intact in the right year but not in the left. We will see the ENT soon to confirm all is OK with those ears.  Other than that, he is a super healthy boy.  When the Doc went um-down low to exam, Tyler was sure to tell him..."Only Dr Tony, Mommy, Daddy and Grandma can go down there!!" I am not sure who taught him that, but he sure is right!  Dr Tony was also impressed.

He did tell Dr Tony about his paci. I wasn't sure that he would...but he brought it up and Dr Tony said, that he happened to know a baby in the other room that needed it and Tyler was too big for it.  SO! Last night we were paci free for the first time!

It went pretty well. He had one melt down before dinner where he really wanted it and I just ignored him and turned the radio up in the car.  He seemed to calm down...however, this happened on the way to Grandma and Papa's house. Papa was upset and wanted me to give it back to Tyler. But I held strong and didn't.

As his reward for giving it up, Grandma and Papa are taking Tyler to an indoor water park for a night! He is excited!  On the way home from their house, Tyler fell asleep in the car so we didn't have paci withdrawl, but he was up a few times during the night talking about it.  We will have to see how tonight goes.

He also got 2 shots after he got rid of the paci and didn't even cry! I was so proud of him but he did give the nurse evil eyes. LOL

We have a dentist appointment in a few weeks too, so hopefully that goes just as well.
