another week past....

Well, I am still on the job hunt...but having fun being off. This past week we were very busy. I honestly cannot remember most of what we did...but we did have dinner with Nicole & Ryan at Zelly's. The boys had a blast with matchbox cars...

Friday we went to the annual Sandwich Fair with GR P's Monaco and Ryan, Nick & Nicole. SOO fun... here the boys look like trouble...

Labor day weekend was awesome. We had great weather and a fun time. Below you can see how tired out Tyler was... lol He is laying on Elmo. poor Elmo. Last week, we brought a new meaning to trailer trash. When I was pregnant we had Angelos' precious garage floor epoxied... well it started breaking and coming up. Floorgaurd came out and looked it and decided it was installed incorrectly and they warrantied it. This means...everything must come out of the garage. For having a clean garage, we sure had a lot of stuff in there. Here is a pix of the fridge, generator and other junk on the front porch... snow plow in the driveway... I am sure the neighbors loved us for a whole week.

Here is a pic of the new floor. The "GUY" that came to do it was awesome. He didn't even realize he had Tyler watching him the whole 3 days... it was so funny. Tyler kept saying..."THE GUY" lol

Saturday morning, Angelos got everything put away and got the grass cut before work. yikes. Then Tyler and I thought we would help... so out came the hose to clean off the driveway and lawnmower...holy mess. Tyler played with the hose and was completely soaked... then continued to melt down when it was time to come in. We had a nice evening tho, The Durrow's came to play.

Sunday - after naps... we went to a party at the neighbors. It was such fun and and great weather. All the neighbors were there and tons of kids to play with. When we got home... Angelos friend from high-school randomly stopped by. He hasn't seen him in years and had fun catching up. Pete and Lisa came for a visit as well...

Monday - with the gorgeous weather we decided to go to lunch and eat outside ( a rare ocassion in IL). There was a table next to us with a little guy a bit younger than Tyler. The boys were laughing and making faces and talking baby talk. We had a great lunch and the boys did too. Tyler was sad when they left before us. BUT when it was time for us to leave, Angelos asked for our check and the waitress (is that the PC term??) said... oh, that other couple picked up your check... We were beyond shocked. We didn't know them or anything...but let me say, we prolly shouldn't be out to lunch when I am not working anyway. How nice! I think I will remember that forever... its amazing how the random acts of kindness stick in your head. Maybe next time I get coffee, I will pay for that car behind me. lol

All in all, a Fabulous LABOR DAY~!

2 weeks!

Well, 2 weeks of being off work has come and gone already. I am really trying to get things done around the house while I am off and not have too much fun.

Thus far, we have gone to the zoo... pix below in different post. And had several play dates. Below are pictures from a Drake family playdate. Angelos' cousin Ryan came out from DesPlaines with his mommy. While Tyler slept, Nicole & Ryan go new "do's" and then Mia came over and we all played. Mama Drake made us food, so of course, we had to stuff our faces too!

This past weekend, after being at the salon at 8 am to do hair, we attended Staci & Chad's wedding. Her hair looked awesome (if I do say so myself). They had a super fun photobooth at the reception as well. Below are the pix I took with my date.

Well, the job hunt is still underway. I have interviewed 2 times. One - hours just won't work. Two - sales with no base and no benefits. ugh... I am still looking and know the right thing for me and my family will come along. In the interim, I am cleaning... cleaning, walking, walking, playing, playing, playing & playing. Want a play date? Lemme know!!

On the agenda... paint master closet and clean out, paint and do rearrange office. Complete - total basement cleaning, windows (inside/out), bathrooms, move furniture and clean in master and Tyler's room. whew... I should be exhauseted!

Today I did a fundraiser at kindercare. i also hung out a took some pix of all the cuties. here are the infants all ready to go out an enjoy the nice weather. isnt this thing funny?? tyler's class was out too. but they dont need that buggie thing...lol. heres tyler on the slide
